Nothing Matters

I would call your attention to Harvey's last book, before he offed himself. "Mississippi Haiku", he left the manuscript with me then killed himself. I'm just a janitor, but I recognize greatness.

Just re-read 17 Mississippi Haiku (17 is a prime). Seventeen times seventeen syllables 5-5-2-5 and one 5-2-5-5 (snorting!). This coming equinox will make twenty-five years with Harvey absent from the planet. That's a loss that makes the heart ache. From Harvey, the affect of simple objects--not effect, which implies causality--that is the mystery of carrying water and chopping wood. That and the concept of home. Where do you put that, does one?
